LORETTO, Pa – The Red Flash got back in the pool just one week after their dominant win against Millersville and was able to pick up another win, this time against Siena. Saint Francis was able to pick up seven individual victories against Siena and have now increased their series victory up to 17-1 against the Saints.
Shauna Abair, Laryssa Webster, Maddie Dando, Aurem Pifarre, and Krysta Weik all recorded individual wins with Dando securing wins in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke for the Red Flash. The 400 yard medley relay team for the Red Flash also finished in first place for Saint Francis in the first event that was held during the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dando finished first in the 100 yard backstroke with a quick time of 1:01.22 and also finished in first with a solid time of 2:10.71. Maddie Dando led the Red Flash with two individual wins on the day for Saint Francis.
Abair secured her first place win in the 1000 yard freestyle with a great time of 10:57.31.
Laryssa Webster secured her individual win in the 200 yard butterfly with a quick time of 2:15.35.
Pifarre got her individual win with a good time of 5:14.29 in the 500 yard freestyle.
Weik got her first place in in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:12.75, as she closed out the individual wins for the Red Flash.
UP NEXT
The Red Flash will have their last road trip of the season as they travel to Pitt for the Western PA invite next Friday and Saturday. Furthermore, Saint Francis will only have one more meet before the NEC Championships at the end of February.

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Swimming & Diving continued a stretch of three straight home meets to round out the 2022-23 regular season with its closest matchup against a perennial regional rival on Saturday afternoon. The Saints (8-5) dropped a tight 146-142 decision to Saint Francis (PA) (4-4) at the Siena Swim Center.
The Saints won nine individual events and trailed by just two points heading into the final two events of the day, but the visitors took the top two spots in the 200 IM and secured the tight victory with second and fourth place finishes in the 200 free relay.
Senior Rory Kalac continued her strong senior campaign with individual wins in the 50 free (24.74), 100 free (53.97), and 200 free (1:57.12), while also splitting a 24.54 in the 200 free relay. Freshman Tori Spacciapolli took first place in the 100 breast (1:08.36), while junior Audrey Shultz won the 200 breast event (2:26.72). Senior Elisabeth Balicanta placed first in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.86, while swimming a new personal best time of 2:16.30 in the 200 fly.
The Green and Gold got solid results in both diving events, with senior Lydia Delano winning both a one-meter score of 269.03 and a three-meter score of 243.53. Junior Talia Spenziero went for a score of 230.25 in the one-meter diving, and 233.03 in three-meter.
Siena’s relay group of Kalac, freshman Kaci Owens, sophomore Shaylea Triller, and sophomore Kylie Carter ended the day with a victory in the 200 free relay, swimming a time of 1:38.84.
The Saints will conclude regular season dual meet action on Saturday, January 28 at 1 PM against Stonehill, with the meet serving as the team’s Senior Day celebration for its nine graduating members.
