Lead-off Sims shaved almost a second off her lifetime best to start off her relay. Teammates Grimes and Kuwata continued the momentum as they raced high school competitors. Anchor Yu blasted a sub-26 split and aided her relay to chip 0.12s off the months-old NAG.
Earlier in the meet, Katie Grimes and Arabella Sims made their marks in the 800 free timed finals by scoring the 2020 Trials cuts, finishing 2-3 respectively, and putting up two of the top 20 times in 13-14 age group history.
