Santeiu Wins Platform Diving Consols; Texas’ Mark Anderson Takes 4th

Auburn’s John Santeiu has won the platform diving consolation final, with a score of 437.70 – a 60 point improvement off of his prelims performance.

Santeiu tweaked his dive order, and took half-a-twist off of his 5th dive that he struggled with in prelims, and like magic exploded for a big score and 9 points toward Auburn’s total.

Virginia’s JB Kolod took 2nd in 389.00, as he continues to be the Cavaliers’ only scorer of this meet so far.

Kentucky’s Greg Ferrucci took 3rd in 388.10, and then the big finish from the one guy in this final contending for the team title: Texas’ Mark Anderson.

Anderson moved up one spot, one big spot, in finals, which means 5 points for the Longhorns – added to the 6 point led that Texas had at the end of Friday, and the Longhorns will have a little mental edge going into finals. Keep in mind that these points won’t be counted until the championship final is completed as the second-to-last event of the evening.

Auburn’s Fraser McKean took 5th, followed by Arizona’s Dominic Ricotta, Tennessee’s Mauricio Robles, and Purdue’s Nathan Cox.
