STONY BROOK, N.Y- The Stony Brook swimming and diving team wrapped up the dual meet portion of its schedule on Saturday with an emphatic win over Manhattan. Ten event wins helped secure a 139-78 win for the Seawolves.
Sara DiStefano continued her winning ways, picking up another event win in the 1-meter dive. Her six-dive score of 304.45 set a new pool and program record for the event. In the pool, Stony Brook saw several key contributions up and down the roster, including multiple event wins from Lily DeBellis, Aili Talcott, Brenna Mowrey, Alanna DePinto, and Francesca Baber.
HIGHLIGHTS
- DiStefano shined in the 1-meter dive en route to a new pool and program record in the event with her impressive six-dive scoreline of 304.45.
- DeBellis, Talcott, Mowrey, and Sara Baxter teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay, combining for a final time of 1:52.80.
- DePinto won the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.79).
- Mowrey took first in the 50-yard backstroke finishing in 27.58.
- DePinto picked up another first-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 31.26.
- Hazel Alejos finishes first in the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 1:00.75.
- Baber placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a 24.27 clocking.
- DeBellis swam to a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.34).
- Talcott won the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:10.35.
- Baber picked up another win in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 5:03.89.

“Last meet of our dual season was a lot of fun,” said head coach Mark Anderson. “The team did a great job competing today and getting ready for the final push of our season. Energy on deck was great today, and we are looking to CAA Championships in a few short weeks.”

The Seawolves will travel to Hampton, Va., for the CAA Championships, which will take place from Feb. 26 to March 1 at the Hampton Aquaplex.

STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Manhattan Women’s Swim & Dive team went head to head with the Stony Brook Seawolves on Saturday afternoon at University Pool. The competitive portion of the meet consisted of 16 events, with the Seawolves topping the Jaspers, 139-78.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Elle Feneide declared victory Women 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 55.04 seconds.
- Junior Jaila Williamson set a new Personal Best in the Women 50 Yard Breaststroke time stamped at 31.28 seconds. Williamson was edged out by Stony Brook’s Alanna DePinto by .02 seconds.
- Leticia Fontes took 3rd in the Women 50 Yard Breast at 33.25 seconds, finishing right behind Williamson.
- Williamson checked in at 2nd place in the Women 50 yard Freestyle with a mark of 24.85 seconds.
- Williamson finished tops among Manhattan swimmers in the Women 50 Yard Butterfly at 26.95 seconds.
