Sarah Webber, following in her parents’ and grandparent’s footsteps, has elected to make Niagara University in Lewiston, New York her home for the next four years beginning in the Fall.
“I verbally committed to Niagara because the school has everything I was looking for. The team atmosphere is amazing and the academics are perfect for my major. I will be the third generation attending NU and I can’t wait to represent my family in and out of the pool!”
Webber swims for Albany Starfish and Guilderland High School. Last fall at the New York Public Schools State Meet, she made the “A” finals in both the 100 breast and 200 IM, placing eighth in each. Her top times in short course yards over the last two seasons have been:
- 200 back – 2:09.93
- 200 IM – 2:13.64
- 400 IM – 4:44.75
- 100 breast – 1:10.50
- 200 breast – 2:37.30
- 100 back – 1:01.93
- 100 fly – 1:02.20
Webber is flexible enough to swim wherever the Purple Eagles need her the most, but she is likely to have the greatest impact at the conference level in the 200 IM and 400 IM, two events in which Niagara did not place any finalists in 2015. Webber would have made “B” finals at MAAC Championships in both IMs, the 100 breast, and the 200 back.

I don’t think she goes a 1:02 200 Fly.
