Sasha Touretski Breaks National Record At Swiss Championships

 The biggest swim of the meet through the second day of the 2015 Swiss Championships has been Sasha Touretski‘s 50 freestyle. With two days of the three day competition completed, she has managed to earn four gold medals and break one Swiss National Record in the process.

Touretski won the women’s 50m freestyle on the first day of competition with her new record time of 25.27. She also won individual gold medals in the women’s 100 butterfly and the 50 backstroke, in addition to her 50m freestyle. She was the only swimmer to break 1 minute in the 100 fly with her time of 59.79 and the only swimmer to break 30 seconds in the 50 backstroke with her time of 29.79.

On the men’s side, Jeremy Desplanches and Andrey Grechin have been cleaning up their events. Desplanches won individual gold medals in the 400 IM, 200 IM, and 50 breaststroke. He also earned a silver medal in the men’s 100 breaststroke. Grechin has dominated the sprint freestyle events, picking up individual gold medals in the 50 and 100 freestyle in addition to multiple relay medals.

Yannick Kaser only earned a podium finish in the men’s 100 breaststroke, where he won with a final time of 1:02.34.
