This weekend, the Scottish National Age Group Champs (SNAGS) will be taking place in Tollcross, Glasgow.
Above, check out Warrender Swimming’s psych up video. Their age group-ers will be competing all this weekend at the SNAGS meet.
You can access more information on the championship website right here.
The meet ran from Wednesday, March 30th to Sunday, April 3rd at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow.
At the meet, a pilot program was tested to implement a larger focus on technique in Scottish age group swimming.
Here’s the full statement on the Scottish swimming website:
“In order to enhance the process of technical development at age group level, Scottish Swimming are piloting a project at the 2016 Scottish National Age Groups that ultimately, will allow all swimmers to view any of their swims and promote interaction between swimmer & coach all of which will be guided by a ‘technical expert’.”
Two video feedback stations were present at these championships, and any swimmer competing had a chance to see their race and get advice on their technique.
The next big swimming event in the UK will be the British Swimming Championships – Olympic Trials, which begin on April 12th.
