Scottsdale Aquatic Club Breaks NAG Relay Record

Before USA Swimming even had time to ratify the old National record in the 10 & under boys 200 free relay, the Scottsdale Aquatic Club has broken it again. They swam a 2:02.37 that took down, by .15: a record set just a week ago by the Westchester Aquatic Club on the opposite coast at the Metro LSC Junior Olympics. The team is swimming in San Jose this week at the Far Western Championships.

Nicholas Salvino, Daniel Simmons, Hunter Ruck, and Matthew Leblanc combined for the new mark, with a great front-loaded relay. Ruck led-off in 29.47, which ranks him 6th among 10-and-unders in 2012.

Full results for the meet are available here.

Does USA Swimming keep track of 10 and under rankings/records anymore? They are nowhere to be found on their website.

you can just check the SWIMS database on USA Swimming – go to Individual event rank and then manipulate the choices

Congratulations on a great swim – I was on hand for tonight’s finals and it was really nice to watch.

Ps – Hunter is probably ranked 6th among 10 and unders, since he’s 10. It would be cheating for him to be compared to 6 year olds!
