Sectionals Qualifier Kristina Glavas Commits to Cal Baptist for 2022

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Kristina Glavas, a senior at Southwest Career Technical Academy has announced that she will swim at California Baptist University beginning in Fall 2022.

Glavas swims for the Sandpipers of Nevada and is coached by Michael Kinross. She is a sectionals qualifier and was a member of the Sandpipers’ 800m freestyle relay team that placed 4th at Western Zone Senior Championships in July 2021.

I am beyond grateful and excited to announce my verbal commitment to pursue my swimming and academic career at California Baptist University. Becoming a Division 1 athlete has been a dream of mine, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for this opportunity. I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for this opportunity. Without their support this wouldn’t be possible. Can’t wait to be apart of such an incredible team! GO LANCERS #lanceup

Glavas is the 5th Sandpiper who has gone on to swim for the Lancers. She follows David Miller, Dylan Sweikert, Hunter Harbauer, and John Sullivan to Riverside, California. While Miller, Sweikert, and Harbauer have graduated, Glavas will overlap with Sullivan for three years as a Lancer.

The Sandpipers of Nevada are known for developing well rounded swimmers, which explains Glavas’s versatility and success in the 400 IM.
