Shanghai 2011: China Announces Lineups for 2011 World Championships

China is always the big mystery team headed into any World Championship meet. They don’t often swim in other countries, and the unfamiliarity with their language makes it difficult for most swim sites to pick up a lot on what’s going on internally for them.

Ahead of the release of the psych sheets, we’ve received a copy of the Chinese lineup for the World Championships.  There’s still a chance that Zhang Lin could drop the 200 free, after being booted from his specialty the 800 free for a lack of conditioning, in order to focus on the Chinese 800 free relay that has sights on gold.

the gut tells me that a chinese man is going to make the 200m free final and knock off a relatively big(ger) name. Watch for Dai Jun to do the same in the 400.

Interesting, Qianwei 50 & 200 Free? strange mix. No liuyang on the 100fly?
Qian is the danger on the 800 free.
Would have loved to see Sun do the 200 Free, cant have it all though! cant wait.
