Just when you thought it was Beyoncé with all the moves, along comes North Baltimore Aquatic Club’s Sierra Schmidt, swimming’s pre-race dancing star.
Some of us have been lucky enough to see Schmidt rock out her behind-the-blocks ritual live, complete with hand movements, body grooves and just general jamming to whatever she has flowing through her headphones. But for those who have not, check out the latest edition of Schmidt’s eye-catching routine from this morning’s session of the Arena Pro Swim Series in Charlotte and get pumped up yourself.
she’s an inspiration to younger swimmers, including my own daughter. She loves who she is and what she’s doing. Thank God for for teens like Sierra. She renews my faith
Her parents had to have done a great job raising her. She rocks the confidence of an elderly person at a young age. She will go far in life!!!!! I wish I had her confidence at that age!
What she is doing is quite common with athletes. She is not thinking about what she is about to do. When you get to that spot where you have to perform in any sport you can’t think. You just have to let the years/hours of training take over.
I love that she doesn’t give a hoot what anybody thinks of her! Just keep doing what makes you happy, Sierra! 🙂
