The 2023 Swim Open Stockholm begins on Thursday with Swedish mainstays taking on visiting athletes from Finland, the United States, Germany, Israel and beyond.
The meet represents an opportunity for swimmers to qualify for this summer’s World Championships so we are ready for some swift times across both the men’s and women’s events.
As for the host nation, Olympic champion Sarah Sjostrom is indeed entered, alongside countrymates Michelle Coleman, Louise Hansson and Sophie Hansson.
29-year-old Sjostrom last raced long course during the Giant Open trio of meets in France last month. Along the way she produced times of 24.10 in the 50m free, 25.25 in the 50m fly, 28.70 in the 50m back and 53.44 in the 100m free.
