The SMU women’s swimming and diving team hosts Texas A&M Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium. Live video and results can be found at SMUMustangs.com/live or on the Meet Mobile App ($).

The Mustangs are coming of a loss to No. 10 Mizzou. Andrea Podmanikova and Matea Samardzic led SMU with a combined three victories. Podmanikova paced the field in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes, and helped the 200-yard medley relay team to a runner-up performance teaming up with Samardzic, Erin Trahan and Felicity Passon for a season-best 1:43.30.

Samardzic picked up SMU’s third win of the day with a victory in the 200-yard backstroke, while finishing second in both the 100 back and the 200-yard individual medley.

Samardzic has NCAA B cuts in both backstroke and individual medley events, while Trahan and Passon come in under the standard in the 100-yard butterfly. Samardzic has a conference-best three weekly awards on the women’s side, including back-to-back honors Oct. 10 and Oct. 17.

Texas A&M carries a 5-1 dual record and a No. 1 ranking in the CSCAA poll into Tuesday’s meet with the Mustangs. The Aggies have defeated three top-25 teams this season, while their only loss came at the hands of then-No. 2 Texas on Nov. 3. Texas A&M won the 2017 SEC Championships and went on to finish third at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Building on a legacy of proud Olympians, world records and 155 national titles, SMU broke ground on the new Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, and hosted the facility opener Nov. 3, 2017. The 42,000 square foot center is home to SMU’s internationally-recognized men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams. Located at 5550 SMU Blvd. on the University’s growing east campus, the center provides facilities for practice, competition and community use. The Aquatics Center features an Olympic-sized, eight-lane indoor pool with a platform diving area, including four springboards and a 10-meter tower for training and competition. Coaches’ offices, men’s, women’s and visitor locker rooms and a classroom and meeting area are located adjacent to the pool. Spectator seating for 800 is on the mezzanine level.
