DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU women’s swimming and diving team opens the 2020-21 season at home Friday when it hosts TCU at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium.
Diving is slated to begin at 12 p.m. followed by swimming at 2 p.m. Live results will be available at SMUMustangs.com and on the Meet Mobile App ($), with in-event updates on Twitter (@SMUSwimDiveW). There will be no live stream available.
All-Conference Returners
Olivia Grossklaus and Sam Smith earned individual all-league honors to help SMU to a runner-up finish at the 2020 American Athletic Conference Championships. Grossklaus won the 200-yard butterfly, while Smith was third in the 100-yard freestyle.
Mustang Diving
SMU returns all four divers from the 2019-20 roster, including 2020 All-American and NCAA qualifier Johanna Holloway (platform). Holloway, along with Katie Crown, Taylor Ohlhauser and Nicole Stambo all represented the Mustangs at the NCAA Zone Championships in March.
Holloway (3 meter, platform) and Stambo (1 meter, platform) both picked up a pair of all-conference honors to lead SMU at last year’s conference Championships.
Making The Cut
Three returners posted NCAA B cuts during the 2019-20 season.

Scouting The Horned Frogs
TCU is 0-2 in dual action with losses at Missouri (193-100) and Kansas (187-112) to open the 2020-21 season. The Horned Frogs finished third at last season’s Big 12 Championships.
SMU won last year’s meeting, 180.5-119.5. Prior to that, the teams had not met in dual competition since the 2012 season when the Mustangs picked up a 135-86 win.
