For the 3rd, and what they claim to be the final time, Alec Morgan, Conner John, and Tim Senholtz (with a cameo from Ben DeVilbiss at the end) run through the full range of emotions that come with taper time and the excess energy derived from not spending quite as many hours staring at a black line. The video was originally posted on Snapchat, but given its fleeting nature and the brilliance of the performance, we didn’t think it should be lost to the limitations of the 24-hour attention span.
The Bulldogs swim in the NCAA’s Division II, which is on an earlier timeline than D3 and D1, and are now just 8 days away from the 2016 GLVC Championships being hosted in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where last year the women finished 2nd overall and the men took 6th. They’re building up to the season-ending NCAA Championships (March 9th-12th in Indianapolis).
Don’t worry guys, they still have tapers in Masters swimming, and even in the office there’s a pretty strong decrease in training volume every year at the beginning of summer and around Christmas time, so you don’t have to let the tradition end here!
