The 2024 Olympic Games are just a few days away and we are looking forward to all of the hype circulating around some of the guest commentators this year. Today we were on a call with Primetime in Paris host Mike Tirico, global megastar Snoop Dogg, and Molly Solomon, Executive Producer & President, NBC Olympics Production.

Snoop is planning on collaborating with 23-time gold medalist Michael Phelps and will be getting in the water and giving swimming a go. He says that when he is around the Olympians he is an athlete and feels like he is just as good as them so he wants to give it a shot. He is looking forward to “bringing the hype to swimming.”

He is honored to be one of the final torchholders.

“It says a whole lot about America and where we are at in this world, what we do and want to represent,” Snoop said. “It says a lot about the French.”

For Snoop it is a prestigious honor and something he respects. He never would have dreamed about his and he promises to be on his best behavior.

Snoop is psyching himself up for the event saying he is going to “Breathe slow, walk fast, and hold the torch with a smile on my face. I thought about Muhammad Ali and when he was holding it. That was emotional for all of us to see. That’s what this feels like to me, my own version of it. I know how special this is and I am going to show why they made me the man to do it. Love, peace and harmony, I will put around it. That is what I represent. Peace, love, and unity.”

Snoop was asked if he got to put together an Olympic team of four for rapping who he would select. He said Eminem, Rakim, Queen Latifah, and himself.

We were told that the opening ceremonies will be an artistic tutorial on the city of Paris and most of the venues are near the most iconic parts of the city. Rumor has it Celine Dione will be performing. When asked it was neither confirmed or denied, so as far as we are concerned, she is.

Regardless of if Snoop can find a way to beat Phelps, or Celine belts it from underneath the Eiffel Tower, the 2024 Olympics look to have some major prime-time surprises and of course, fast swimming.

Snoop is well known as an avid sports fan, and has spent time on various sporting broadcasts including doing the acclaimed show “Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg” during the 2021 Games in Tokyo.

I think Snoop needs to try on a tech suit. Is Kevin Hart coming back? They were the best last Olympics.

Snoop’s commentary is so annoying. The events he did with UFC during COVID were god-awful.
