Spain and the Netherlands respectively won their round 4 game last night (February 27) in Khanty-Mansiysk (RUS) and Budapest (HUN), two of the cities hosting the European prelims of the FINA Women’s Water Polo World League.
Starting the game on a high, Spain defeated the Russians 9-7 (3-0, 3-4, 2-2, 1-1), who defended fiercely until the end.
The Netherlands proved too strong for the Hungarian team, as the Dutch scored 10 times against 5 for their opponents (2-1, 4-2, 3-1, 1-1).

1. ESP 9 pts, 2. NED 6 pts; 3. HUN 6 pts ; 4. RUS 3 pts
The fifth round of the Women’s World League will be played on March 27. The Dutch will play the Russians, while Spain will face Hungary.
The men’s European prelims resumes on March 20.
