Spanish Swimmer Goes Missing For One Week

Spanish swimmer Yago de la Puente Agulló has now been missing for one week. De la Puente went missing on July 14th, while attending the International Celtic Festival in Ortigueira, Spain.

De la Puente’s whereabouts remain unknown since last Sunday, July 14th. At the time, the Spanish swimmer was attending an infamous International Celtic Festival. According to eyewitnesses, the 28-year-old was reported missing after attending the festival with some friends. De la Puente also happens to be former professional soccer player Jaime Agulló’s nephew.

This year, the festival celebrates its 41st edition thus far. Inaugurated in 1978, it was created as a handicraft festival thanks to the Escola de Gaitas de Ortigueira, but without official support was interrupted for more than five years.

The International World Celtic Festival of Ortigueira is, together with the festival Carballeira de Zas, the most important folk festival in Spain. Ortiguerira’s International Festival of the Celtic World is focused on the reunion with the Celtic roots. The festival is a four-day event that focuses on folk music. This year’s edition kicked off on July 11th and came to a finish on July 14th, de la Puente’s disappearance date.
