St. Bonaventure Set for Two-Day Meet at Justin Jennings Memorial Invite

ST. BONAVENTURE at JUSTIN JENNINGS MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL
Friday, Oct. 11 – Saturday, Oct. 12
Hamilton, N.Y.

The St. Bonaventure University women’s swimming and diving team travels to Colgate for the Justin Jennings Memorial Invitational this weekend starting Friday, Oct. 11 and runs through Saturday, Oct. 12. Friday’s action is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. while Saturday’s events begin at 10:00 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies opened the 2019-20 season last Friday at Penn State against the Nittany Lions and Liberty. Sophomore Rachel Kimmel paced the Bonnies with a second-place finish in the 100-breaststroke, clocking in at 1:03.53. The 100-freestyle relay team consisting of Kimmel, Ivana Janssen, Hayley Tasselmyer and Katrina Wardner also earned a second-place finish with a time of 44.76. In diving, senior Elena Rohr finished fourth in the 1-meter dive, finishing with a total score of 237.95.

LAST YEAR’S INVITE
Last season at the Justin Jennings Memorial Invite, the Bonnies finished third in the team standings. Kimmel led the way, winning the 100-breaststroke in 11:11.12 as well as the 200-breaststroke in 2:35.77. Fellow sophomore Claire Schaef contributed a second place finished in the 500-freestyle, finishing in 5:28.55.

UP NEXT
The Bonnies are back in action Nov. 2-3 at the Atlantic 10 Invitational in Geneva, Ohio.
