In-State Rivals Clash As Bryant Duels Providence

An in-state rivalry invades the Chace Athletic Center Pool on Friday night, as the Bryant University women’s swimming team hosts Providence for a 5:00 p.m. bout.

Last Time Out

Jillian Rice (Trumbull, Conn.) won four races and two Bulldog divers took home victories, but Bryant fell by a 170-128 scoreline against Bucknell last week.

Last Meet with Providence

  • At Providence College in 2016, Rice won three events, Eliza Brant (Hauppauge, N.Y.)took home two and both relay teams won in a 183-114 victory over the Friars.

A bit about the Friars

  • Providence finished fifth in the Northeast Catholic Invitational in Newtown, Mass. to open their 2017-18 campaign.
  • Kendall Jerzyk placed first in the 1-meter dive and finished second in the 3-meter dive in the meet.
  • Lauren Zawacki took third in the 50-yard freestyle.
