In-State Sprinter Callie Wilhite Verbally Commits to Hoosiers

Callie Wilhite has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Indiana University beginning in the 2018-19 season:

“I am excited to finally announce my commitment to Indiana University! The team, coaches, and academics are unbeatable. Cannot wait to be a HOOSIER!?⚪️”

Wilhite will be a senior at Castle High School in Newburgh, Indiana in the fall. She swims year-round for Newburgh Sea Creatures. She registered lifetime-bests in the SCY 50/100 freestyles at the Indiana High School Girls Sectionals during her sophomore season. In club swimming, she achieved PBs in the LCM 50/100/200/400 free, 50/100 back, and 50/100 fly during the summer of 2017.

Top times:

  • 50y free – 24.45
  • 100y free – 53.80
  • 50m free – 27.91
  • 100m free – 1:00.95

The Indiana University class of 2022 is already starting to take form. In addition to Wilhite, it includes the verbally-committed Christin Rockway, Ileah Doctor, Julia Wolf, Mackenzie Looze, Maggie Wallace, Morgan Scott, and Noelle Peplowski.

Congrats & Nice Times but walk On times @ IU where low 23/50 are needed to help the team. Have plenty of time to verbal elsewhere. Might be a better MAC or MVC candidate. Sorry but being truthful on your current times where you have a chance to travel. Good luck!
