Summer Juniors Qualifier Olivia Stewart (2024) Hands Verbal Commitment to Auburn

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Olivia Stewart from Statesboro, Georgia, has announced her intention to swim and study at Auburn University beginning in the fall of 2024.

“I’m thrilled to finally announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Auburn University! I couldn’t have done it without the help of my friends and family who’ve supported me along the way. Huge shoutout to my amazing coaches who have pushed me to chase my goals. This is unreal. WAR EAGLE💙🧡🦅”

Stewart attends Statesboro High School, where she is in the class of ’24. She swims club with Aiken-Augusta Swim League. She didn’t begin swimming year-round until ninth grade, coming out of the pandemic. Spent the first half of that year in the Senior Blue group and ended in the team’s top group. Stewart moved with her family to Statesboro after ninth grade, about 80 miles from Augusta. She split her time swimming on her own and making the drive to the club team as a sophomore. After getting her driver’s license during her junior year, she never missed another practice in Augusta.

This dedication paid off, as Stewart dropped a ton of time in each of her events. She improved by 8 seconds in the 100 back, 6.6 in the 100 breast, 6 in the 100 fly, and 3.9 in the 100 free. She took 14.2 seconds off her 200 IM time and dropped 24.2 in the 200 fly, 18.5 in the 200 back, 17.5 in the 200 breast, and 8 in the 200 free.

At the Georgia High School 1A-5A State Championships in January, she came in third in the 100 breast (1:01.95) and fourth in the 100 fly (56.55). She won nearly all her events (100/200 free, 50 back, 50/100/200 breast, and 200 IM) and came away with new PBs in the 100/200/500 free, 200 breast, and 200 IM at the Southeastern Meet of Champions in March.

Stewart will join Audrey Crawford, Audrey Olen, Bella Ekk, Carly Bixby, and Izzy Iwasyk in Auburn’s class of 2028.
