La canadese Summer McIntosh ha raggiunto un nuovo record olimpico toccando in 2:06.56 per vincere i 200 misti femminili a Parigi. McIntosh ha battuto il precedente record di 2:06.58 nuotato da Katinka Hosszu alle Olimpiadi di Rio 2016. McIntosh ha anche ottenuto oggi la terza prestazione più veloce di tutti i tempi, mancando il record del mondo di 44 centesimi di secondo.
