Summer League Swimming is the cultural bridge to year-round swimming, that first step toward loving the sport. For many swimmers, summer league is pure joy; sunshine, loud cheers, out-of-the-pool games and shenanigans, all wrapped up in a neat little two-hour dual meet style competition.
Robert Lawrence, the producer and filmmaker behind this film, Summer Swim Teams, said:
My two children, Jillian and Ryan, started their competitive swimming in this program — they are still age group swimmers here — and I tried to capture the spirit of summer league.
