Sun Yang Continues Distance Domination with 1500 Free Win – Race Video

Sun Yang wasn’t his best, but was better than the rest, taking the 1500m Freestyle in 14:41.15. That was over 10 seconds off his world record, but Sun was still able to hold off silver medalist Ryan Cochrane of Canada who touched in 14:42.48. Italy’s Gregorio Paltrinieri finished ahead of American Connor Jaeger for the bronze in 14:45.37.

Sun is just a beast. The way that guy swims a 1500 makes you think he is swimming a warm up set…long and smooth. Hard to fathom he is holding under 59 per 100 to get that type of time.
