Swim Job: Daly City Dolphins Aquatics Club seeks Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Daly City Dolphins Aquatics Club (DCD) is looking for a Head Coach to build a great swim program. We are looking for an energetic and organized individual who can help teach technical fundamentals to new swimmers as well as help make our experienced swimmers even better. The right coach will also understand how to motivate each swimmer individually as well as collectively to maximize the entire team’s performance.

This is a wonderful opportunity to rebuild a program, help hire and lead the assistant coaching staff and be a part of a great community.

Qualified candidates should have prior coaching experience either as a head coach or as an assistant coach eager to make their mark as a head coach. Candidates should also have competitive swimming experience (collegiate experience a plus), and/or coaching experience at the age-group level. Essential qualifications include: strong communication skills, enthusiasm, patience, inspiration, commitment and dedication, maturity, ability to provide constructive, proper stroke technique feedback to kids of all abilities, and focus on positive attitudes, good sportsmanship, and fun.

The DCD Aquatics Club is a competitive swim club serving over 75 year-round swimmers, ages 5-18. Practices are from 4-7pm, Monday through Friday, at the Giammona Pool (Westmoor High School) in Daly City.

Salary will be determined based on experience.

DCD has been serving our community for over 35 years, teaching not only swimming but also emphasizing important life skills such as personal excellence, dedication, self-discipline, respect and time management. Practices are from 4-7pm, Monday through Friday, at the Giammona Pool (Westmoor High School) in Daly City.
