Swim Job: King University seeks Head Swimming and Diving Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION

King University logoKing University is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs, which compete in NCAA Division II and are members of the Appalachian Swim Conference.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree is required. A minimum of 2 years coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level. Possess a thorough knowledge of the sport, a sophisticated understanding of coaching strategies, and a demonstrated ability to enhance student athlete development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree. Experience as a student athlete at the collegiate level. Demonstrated ability and success in identifying and recruiting student athletes at a private, residential institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise all activities related to the student athletes; provide professional mentoring to student-athletes; establish the team’s competition and practice schedules; Recruit student/athletes that meet King University Admission guidelines to achieve roster goals and field a competitive team; Provide academic, personal, and professional mentoring to student-athletes; Comply with all NCAA rules and regulations; Prepare and oversee all travel arrangements; Budget Management, oversight and accountability for all expenditures
