Swim Job: North Coast Aquatics seeks 10-under Lead Swim Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION

North Coast Aquatics, logoNorth Coast Aquatics is accepting applications for a 10-under lead swim coach at our Carlsbad, Ca. location. We have over 700 athletes and we are a perennial Gold and Silver Medal Club at 3 locations in the greater San Diego area. We seek to meet the needs of each member of our program regardless of ability level.

REQUIREMENTS

The position requires someone who can work with novice level athletes as well as elite age group swimmers and is someone with a passion for working with children and as well has a passion for the sport.

You will be a “head coach” of the 10-under program in Carlsbad (currently at 180 swimmers with a growth potential of 240 swimmers) so great administrative and leadership skills are required.

Previous experience in a business or educational environment is required as well. The candidate must have excellent communication and teaching skills and embrace the long term developmental philosophy of the program. You must have strong computer skills and a good understanding of Team Unify. You will collaborate directly with our 10-under head coach at our La Jolla, Ca. site to develop the curriculum of the 10-under program and work in consensus with the other lead coaches.

A Bachelor degree and 3 years of coaching in a 14-under leadership position are required.

SALARY

Salary is extremely competitive and is based on coaching experience. You will qualify for medical and dental benefits and a retirement program. You will also qualify for a very generous bonus program at the end of each year of your tenure with the club.
