“I’m so excited to talk to local kids about swimming and water safety,” said Plummer. “Swimming is such an amazing sport, and it is a fun way to introduce kids to the basics of water safety. It means a lot for me to be able to give a little back to the local community in Minnesota.”

During the two-hour clinic, Plummer will give a stroke clinic and hold a question and answer for the swimmers in attendance. At the end of his appearance, Plummer will sign autographs and take photos with the swimmers.

The event is free and open to the public.

Plummer’s appearance with Family Swim School is part of USA Swimming’s Athlete Partnership Program. The program is a platform for National Team swimmer to encourage kids and adults to take up the sport as a healthy and positive activity. These appearances directly promote the sport and the healthy lifestyle it represents. To find more information about how to get started in the sport, visit SwimToday.org.
