SwimMAC hosting East Coast version of Women in Coaching Clinic this September

North Carolina-based club SwimMAC will host an East Coast version of the Women in Coaching Clinic this fall, adding to the annual Palo Alto-based event in the spring.

The East Coast clinic will take place on September 5-6 of 2015, adding a fall event to the original California clinic. That California gathering was April 18-19.

The fall clinic will be hosted at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina.

Dynamo’s Beth Winkowski will be the keynote speaker. She was named the 2014 ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year and has an extensive history of producing top-level age group athletes.

Other speakers will include SwimMAC Team Elite’s Christie Shefchunas, Aquatic Team of Mecklenburg’s Shaynah Jerrell, and SwimMAC’s Pam Swander.

The clinic is limited to 80 participants, with spots given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can learn more about the clinic on the group’s website, Swimlikeagirl.com. That site features info on both clinics and profiles on some high-level female coaches.

You can also register with the event flyer, which you can find here. Early registration (before August 24th) is $60. After that, the cost is $80, or you can register at the sponsor level for $150. All of the information is on the event flyer.
