The Florida State Seminoles have picked up a verbal from Madison Holland, a sprinter based out of SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte, NC. Holland will join an FSU team that is currently in its first season under the direction of newly appointed Head Coach Neal Studd.
Last February, Holland cemented her status as a North Carolina 3A State champion in the 100 back, setting a new best time of 56.61 whle competing for Cox Hill. At that meet, she also swam to a 6th place finish in the 100 fly in 58.91.

Holland’s potential in the 100 back should be an immediate help to FSU. The Seminoles have now graduated Bianca Spinazzola, their only scorer in the 100 back at last season’s ACC Championships. They’ll also be in need of more backstrokers after Natalie Chambers and Caroline Paige graduate this season.
When she arrives at FSU, Holland will have a backstroke training group that includes Tayla Lovemore, a former NJCAA champion for Indian River. She’ll also be training alongside Fabiana Ingram, Meg Brown, and Ariel Barber.
