Today, Swimming Canada has announced its roster of 40 para-swimmers selected to compete at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games. Of the 24 men and 16 women on the talented roster, 15 total were past paralympians, including 19-time Paralympic medalist Benoit Huot.
Swimming Canada’s Para-swimming National Head Coach Craig McCord will serve as head coach of the squad, while Para-swimming Performance Coach Vince Mikuska will be in the role as team coach, with additional coaching staff to be announced next month.
In the IPC Swimming announcement, McCord indicates that, “We are working in a number of areas to develop our next generation of athletes identified as 2020 podium potential, and they will have the opportunity to compete at Parapan Ams on home soil.”

Any word on when the United States will release their team selections?
Question – we haven’t seen or heard anything yet. We will post it when we do, though.
any word on what happened to Ian Silverman?
No longer considered “para”/disabled. Has to compete in normal competitons now.
that seems weird/ridiculous
