We are all trying to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic as best we can. Staying at home and not socializing is not an easy task for anyone, and keeping a swimmer out of the pool is equally antagonizing. Therefore, SwimSwam is starting the Swimming From Home Talk Show, where host Coleman Hodges speaks with the swimming community about how they’re coping with our current goggle-less reality.
We spoke with ASCA CEO Steve Roush on what getting back in the pool might look like once the full quarantine begins to lift, and what ASCA is doing to help coaches during this time. Roush explained ASCA is putting out numerous educational tools and webinars to keep coaches engaged above all else. He also said he thinks practices will look a lot different once teams are able to get back into the water, for example training from opposite ends of the pool.
Shorter sessions… one per lane.. not showers at the pool.. ALL deck changing – ha.
