UPDATE: Sjostrom & Dressel To Win FINA Swimmer of the Year Awards

An update to the scoring format suggests that Sarah Sjostrom and Caeleb Dressel will win FINA’s Swimmer of the Year awards, not Sjostrom and Adam Peaty as previously reported.

Sjostrom Clear Choice, Peaty To Clip Dressel for FINA Swimmer of Year

We did the math: Sarah Sjostrom appears set to run away with the title on the women’s side under FINA’s evaluation formula, while a tight men’s battle should go to Adam Peaty over Caeleb Dressel by virtue of Peaty’s two world record swims in the 50 breast, barring a few uncertainties in the scoring formula.

Florida Men, Georgia Women Win Rivalry Match Up in Gainesville
