US Olympian Elizabeth Beisel kicked off her first race at the 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials with a 4:09.07 prelim swim in the 400m freestyle. Beisel got under the FINA ‘A’ standard and secured her spot as the top seed in the consolation final (due to her status as a foreign athlete she was not permitted in the championship final).
