Canadian swimmer Emily Overholt has decided to defer her acceptance to the University of British Columbia and their varsity swim team in order to focus on the 2016 Olympic Games.

Final Roster Spots On The Line For Canadian World Champs Team – 12 Qualified, Seven More Could

Going into the final day of competition there have been 12 swimmers who have guaranteed spots on the worlds team based on Swimming Canada’s priority once selection, and it seems six more could qualify.

Four More Swimmers Meet Canadian World Championship Selection Criteria At Trials

Tonight, four more swimmers met the priority one selection criteria punching in their tickets to the 2015 World Championships in Kazan, Russia. Two swimmers made it in the 100 freestyle, and two made it in the 400m IM.

2015 Canadian Trials: Day Two Finals Preview – Kierra Smith Eyeing Breaststroke Redemption

Kierra Smith will have a chance at redemption in the 100m breaststroke after her disqualification in the 200 last night despite touching the wall first. She was a 1:09.02 in prelims. If Smith wants to make the team, she’ll need to go a 1:07.97 tonight.

UBC Thunderbirds Hold Off Calgary Dinos To Secure Home Pool Win

The Thunderbirds beat the UofC Dinos by 516 points, putting forth a great effort and producing a grand total of 1674 points to take the win.
