College (University of Arizona) 2014-15 Wright took fifth in the 200 butterfly at the Pac-12 Championships. 2015-16 Wright set the school record in the 200 fly (1:41.76) in the finals of the Pac-12 Championships. The sophomore also finished eighth in te B final of the 100 fly (47.71). Wright took third in the B final of the 200 fly to earn honorable mention All-America honors (1:42.77). 2016-17 At the Pac-12 Championships, Wright finished third in the 200 butterfly (1:41.88). Wright placed seventh in the 200 butterfly at the NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors, recording a personal best and school record (1:40.94). He recorded a personal best (46.78) in the 100 fly at the NCAA Championships. Wright was named Arizona Athletics Junior Male Athlete of the Year. 2017-2018 Wright placed fifth in the 200 butterfly (1:40.16) at the 2018 NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors, and was on Arizona'a 14th place 400 medley relay team. He finished 26th in the 100 fly. Wright was 2nd at the Pac-12 Championships in the 200 fly (1:41.26).
