It’s always fun to view an elite international meet from an athlete’s perspective and South African swimmer Calvyn Justus enables us to do just that in his latest vlog production. The Doha and Dubai stops marked the 19-year-old’s first World Cup appearances and the freestyle specialist did well for himself, making the men’s 200m frestyle final in Doha.
Join him and South African teammates Clayton Jimmie and Ayrton Sweeney as they take in the sights and sounds of their World Cup aquatic adventure. Also, keep a very keen eye out for cameos by fellow countrymen Myles Brown, Cameron Van der Burgh, South African coach Graham Hill and even a flash appearance by American swimmer Michael Andrew.
Justus’ vlog, which produces a wide spectrum of swim-related, art-focused and travel-chronicling videos, can be subscribed to here.
Cool video. Great to see that SwimSwam picked it up.
