Big guns Yulia Efimova, James Magnussen, Emily Seebohm, Chris Walker-Hebborn, and Sarah Sjostrom are just some of the world’s stars seen flying off the blocks and doing their thing, all in the name of keeping anticipation of this year’s greatest swimming event on an upward trajectory.
Top speedsters Florent Manaudou and Vladimir Morozov, in particular, will be meeting on more than one occasion, as the pair are ranked as the world’s number one and number two in both sprint freestyle events. Per below, Manaudou sits atop the men’s 50m freestyle throne with his 21.57 from April’s Elite French Championships, while Morozov is the only man in the world to have swum a sub-48 100m freestyle thus far this year. The Russian sits at the helm of the men’s 100m freestyle world rankings with his time of 47.98 earned at this year’s Russian National Championships.
