The TCU Horned Frogs have hired Jenn Cahill as their new assistant coach, which will mark her first Division I coaching position after graduating from Boise State in 2013.
“We are excited to have a coach of Jenn’s caliber join our staff,” TCU head coach Richard Sybesma said. “Her experience as a coach and recruiter will be valuable to our program.”
Cahill will take the spot previously held by Caroline Maxvill, who was announced in April as the new assistant coach of the Miami Hurricanes.
As an undergraduate, competing for the Broncos, she broke and still holds the school records in the 1000 (9:56.86) and 1650 (16:27.80) freestyles. She was also a three-time conference champion as a member of Boise State’s 800 free relays.
Since graduating, Cahill has spent time as an assistant coach with Rocky Mountain High School and the Boise YMCA Swim Team. She also spent time as an assistant for Division III University of Puget Sound.
She joins a TCU program that finished 2nd out of 3 teams at the 2015 Big 12 Championships on the men’s side, but last out of 5 teams on the women’s side.
Cahill is a native of Maui, Hawaii.
