Fort Worth: The TCU men’s swim and dive team slayed the Bears of Missouri State on senior day 177-123 on Saturday at Nolan Catholic High School.

Out of 15 total events the Horned Frogs won all but four events.

Milan Fabian led the Horned Frogs on the evening with three first place finsihes on the afternoon. His winning day started in the 1000 freestyle (9:41.22) where the sophomore won by over five seconds. Fabian quickly turned around and won the 50 freestyle (20.95). His final event win of the day, came in the 100 freestyle (45.78).

In the diving events, Alec Hubbard and Ollie Cazaly both earned Zone cuts on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Cazaly won the 1-meter with a score of 364.05 with Alec in second with a score of 336.38.

In the 200 yard backstroke, Edgar Cicanci and Elliott Jones finished less than a second apart from each other from first and second place. Cicanci narrowly edged his teammate swimming 1:51.37 while Jones went 1:51.67. The freshman continued his winning ways in the 100 backstroke swimming 49.81 for first place. Jadon Wuilliez continued his dominance in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes. In the 100 breaststroke, Wuilliez swam 55.46 for first and the 200 breast he swam 2:04.80 leading the way.

Luke Dimicili is finding his stroke this season after missing the first half of the year due to injrury. The sophomore won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:40.21. Senior Piotr Sadlowski won the 100 fly in his final home event of his career with a tim eof 49.84.

Up Next: TCU Swim and Dive will head to the Pre Conference Time Trials to Prep for the BIg 12 Championships on Feb. 4.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Missouri State men’s swimming and diving gave Big 12 TCU all it could handle in the pool here Saturday morning but ultimately came up short against the Horned Frogs, 177-123.

MSU picked up four wins during the dual. Pawel Krawczyk was the standout MoState swimmer, being involved with three of the Bears first-place finishes, including two individual events.

Krawczyk won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:49.29. Finishing right behind him was AJ Huskey, recording second with a time of 1:52.54. In the 500-yard freestyle, Krawczyk grabbed first with a time of 4:33.66. The Bears excelled in the event and rounded the top three with Dylan Moffatt (4:38.28) and Jonathan Hill (4:46.47) finishing in second and third.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the quartet of Brunno Suzuki, Krawczyk, Bruno Guerra and Lucas Chadwell snagged first with a time of 3:04.83 in the final event of the day.

“I’m satisfied with my races today,” Krawczyk said. “It shows consistency across the board. There are a few details to improve on leading into conference, but I’m ready for some surprises when we get some rest.”

In the dual’s final individual event, AJ Huskey picked up a win in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:55.18.

“I’m very pleased with my 200 IM after two tough events,” Huskey said. “It was a relief to contribute some points for the team. I am confident with my preparation this season, and I feel like I am in a great spot going into the conference meet.”

On the boards, Logan Schelfaut grabbed third in three-meter diving action with a score of 327.00, his personal best in the event. Storm Opdahl finished right behind Schelfaut in fourth with a score of 326.18. In the one-meter diving event, Opdahl snagged third with a score of 304.35.

This dual acted as the last time the men’s club would see the pool before the conference met. The Missouri State men will travel to Oxford, Ohio for the Mid-American Conference Championships on March 1-4 with events starting at 10:30 a.m.

The men’s team finished with a 5-6 record in duals this season, while the women’s club finished with 7-2 mark.

The MSU women’s team is off until its conference meet. The Missouri Valley Conference Championships are set for Feb. 15-18 in Iowa City, Iowa with events beginning at 11:00 a.m.
