Team USA managed to bring the crowd to their feet at the end of the women’s 400 medley relay. The team of Courtney Bartholomew, Katie Meili, Kelsi Worrell, and Simone Manuel combined to win the event and add seven points for Team USA. Simone Manuel ran down Europe’s Ranomi Kromowidjojo to claim the win and break the World Record with their time of 3:45.20. That time also lowers the American and US Open records as well.
