Texas Free/Back Ace Paige McCaskill Verbally Commits to Adams State

Paige McCaskill from Lubbock, Texas has verbally committed to Adams State University for the 2017-2018 school year. McCaskill is a senior at Lubbock High School, where she swims primarily free and back. As a junior she won the 100 back and was second in the 200 free at the UIL 5A Region 1 Championships. She then went on to place 16th in the 100 back at the 2016 Texas 5A State Championships.

McCaskill swims year-round with Lubbock Swim Club. She wrapped up her summer long course season at the 2016 Southern Zone Age Group Championships, where she competed in the 50/100/200/400m free and 100/200m back.

Her best SCY times include:

  • 50 back – 29.14
  • 100 back – 1:00.65
  • 200 back – 2:13.37
  • 100 free – 55.84
  • 200 free – 1:57.70

McCaskill brings terrific point-scoring potential to the Grizzlies; she would have scored in the B finals of the 200 free and 100 back, and the C finals of the 100 free and 200 back, at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships.
