Put your swimming knowledge to the test by entering our annual Women’s NCAA Championship Pick’Em Contest! The contest is now live and will be open until the afternoon on Wednesday, Mar. 19, a few hours before the championship kicks off.
Not sure who to pick? We’ll be publishing event-by-event previews and updating our preview index.
Read on for a refresher on the scoring system and prize eligibility.
SCORING SYSTEM
Correctly picking a swimmer to place earns:
- 1st – 7 points
- 2nd – 5 points
- 3rd – 4 points
- 4th – 3 points
Correctly picking a swimmer to place in the top 4, but putting them in the wrong spot, will earn you 1 point.
Team picks will be streamlined with 10 points awarded for picking the winning team and 5 additional points for each correctly-guessed team after that:
- 1st – 10
- 2nd-10th – 5
Note that on the Google Doc, you must scroll to the left to reveal the column to make your #10 team selection.
Picks will close at 5 pm Eastern Time on Wednesday, March 19th, and at that time, we will post everyone’s picks for them to see.
The Google Form allows you to edit your responses up until the form closes. You can also use this “edit responses” ability to print or save your answers.
For team selections, you can use the “Unselect” column if you want to switch your picks after they’re first made. If you don’t change your mind, feel free to leave these blank.
The tie-breaker for prizes, if necessary, will be the most correctly-picked winners in the relevant time period, then 2nd-place finishers, then 3rd-place finishers, etc. in the relevant time period.

Where can you find the leaderboard for those who voted and know who wins the daily contests?
We’ll post it daily. Days 1 and 2 get combined because otherwise there would be a 20 way tie
Thank you! This is my first time so super excited 🙂
Link on the sidebar updated! Stay tuned for results posts after finals.
My disdain for TekSucks will cost me in the pick ’ems. Nevertheless, need to stay true to who you are.
They should institute a rule that if you get last place you can’t comment anymore! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
We won’t see that relay name anymore then
What records are safe?
1/2 fly may be broken
50/100 free may be broken
200 back may be broken
I think everything else is safe
Women’s 100 yard IM.
Never have I ever had a successful pick ems… luckily my ego’s in a good place to take a hit.
hopefully if (its a big if i probably will do terrible) i win on a day i actually get my prize (i won day 4 of scm worlds but never got contacted about my prize)
Yoooo that’s my bad, when I was gathering winners I missed the day 4 tie.
I’ll have Mel reach out to you right now to get it set up.
sounds good, thank you
hey, i never got anything from mel yet, any updates?
Just bumped him. Email me if you don’t hear back soon. Braden@SwimSwam.com
Black Wednesday at Auburn yesterday. 31 swimmers shown the door. It’s beginning now and it’s real.
No way…31? One of my childhood friends whos on the team was probably one of them if this is true…awful.
Just terrible.
What’s happening at Auburn?
They had 43 women and 44 men on the roster, and had to get below 30/22, not accounting for new swimmers.
This same story is happening all over the country this week. It’s a bloodbath.
That’s awful
Torri or Alex in 200 IM? I can’t decide 😭
I’m taking Torri in SCY and Alex in LCM.
But IDK I’m probably wrong.
Seems like people just want to see change and see Alex lose…Alex’s PB is a second faster than Torri. Yes Torri has improved since her PB in 2023 but it seems like people are just saying Torri will beat her based on vibes. Torri beat Alex by one hundredth at a meet that Alex herself said was incredibly disappointing.
2023 was also an infamously off year for torri!
i think ppl just like seeing shake ups lol. i think its fair to say alex is def the favorite in both given her pbs but we shouldnt be surprised if torri beats her in either given her progression and inexperience in the event
Could definitely go either way, but Torri made a big jump in the LC version of the event last year and hasn’t swam a rested yards 2IM in like 2 years. It’s hard to know what her ceiling is. Alex has a better PB but given her surgery recovery this fall, her form is a a bit of a question mark.
i have suspicions that kate and summer may skip the 200 im final in singapore — in their absence i wonder if torri will pursue that event more seriously internationally (presumably shed be a favorite to make the team in it w alex).
given theres a conflict w the 100 fly in singapore, shed have to pick between the 100 fly and 200 im. in the former, gretch has a faster pb and seems poised to drop more (altho i think torri has more drops in her as well). in the latter, shed just have to get past alex, post 100 back semi session double kaylee, and maybe yu yiting if she pops this year (which i think she might)
Go Alex!!!!
