MEL STEWART Jr., aka Gold Medal Mel, won three Olympic medals at the 1992 Olympic Games. Mel's best event was the 200 butterfly. He is a former World, American, and NCAA Record holder in the 200 butterfly.

I love watching him swim! So smooth, and such flawless technique. And he gives hope to those of us of smaller stature.
He’s incredibly beautiful in the water, perhaps too beautiful to win big titles. Next year is perhaps for him. But be careful, Ryan Murphy is coming.
