Ticket sales are underway for the Charlotte Grand Prix in May, and host club SwimMAC has released some of the big names already registered to swim in Charlotte.
Included in that list is U.S. superstar Ryan Lochte, who is still on the comeback trail after a knee injury derailed his winter. Lochte made his first meet back the Orlando Grand Prix but has not competed since. Along with Lochte, early entries include French star Yannick Agnel along with his North Baltimore training partners Ous Mellouli, Conor Dwyer, Matt McLean and Allison Schmitt.
The Charlotte Grand Prix will take place May 15-18 in Charlotte, North Carolina. SwimMAC Carolina is the host club, and many of their big names are listed among early entrants. New SwimMAC member Lochte will be joined by Cullen Jones, Tyler Clary, Nick Thoman and Lauren Perdue.
Other notable names listed:
- SwimAtlanta’s Amanda Weir
- Florida collegiate star Elizabeth Beisel
- Sprinter Anthony Ervin
- Trojan Swim Club freestyler/breaststroker Jessica Hardy
Tickets are now available for purchase at www.grandprixcharlotte.com.
You can find updates on swimmer commitments on the Charlotte Grand Prix Facebook page and at @Grandprixchar on Twitter.
The Meet is full – is there a list of entries posted anywhere?
Hi Marie, they won’t post start lists until at least the week before the meet.
Off topic but Yannick Agnel and Bob Bowman are in France since yesterday.
They prepare the French championships in Mulhouse until next week.
It starts on Tuesday.

I was hoping to see Katie Ledecky back in action!
Well I’m sure there will be more names added closer to the date, so there’s still hope for an appearance from Katie Ledecky.
Or for Katie @ Mesa which is only 3 weeks from now..might see some of the Cal girls there as well?
Katie and a handful of other NCAP swimmers are going to be at the Mesa Grand Prix.
