Tiffany Clay, who graduated from Tennessee in just 2007, is getting her first crack at a head coaching role after four years as an assistant at UNC-Wilmington.
LIU-Brooklyn is making their first quest into a head coach of women’s swimming as well, and the two shall meet as Clay is going to be the program’s first ever head coach when it begins competition in the fall of 2014.
“I am honored and humbled to accept this position at LIU Brooklyn,” Clay said. “I recognize what an amazing and unique opportunity it is to start something from the ground up.”
As a swimmer, Clay was a 7-time All-American for the Tennessee Volunteers.
As compared to their cohorts at LIU Post, LIU Brooklyn will be the newest Division I program, and are best known for the success of their men’s basketball team that has made the NCAA tournament for each of the last two years.
