Top 8 Junior Boys Across All Major Meets the Last Two Weeks

With so many different meets across the country attracting the best junior swimmers in America, it’s been difficult to keep track of all of the big swims. We’ve compiled a big listing of all of the top 8 swims from the last two weekends to get a better picture of how 18 & unders in the U.S. fared across the various big meets nationwide.

Below are times in the USA Swimming database from the following meets:

  • US Open
  • Junior Nationals
  • NCSAs
  • ISCAs
  • YNats
  • Futures

This is a lot of data, so this post is dedicated to the top junior boys. Keep in mind, too, that there may have been errors or omissions from the USA Swimming databases, and we’re only human, so please leave any corrections in the comments.

MA- amazing and very gifted. He seems like a great person as well. I hope he will continue to do great things!

The difference between him and majority of the swimmers. The latter have their main job- students. They still have to go to school, balance their school and swimming especially when they are away during the school year… that vs pro.

Yet MA still has faster 15-16 times than CF. Sorry bud.

Why not include Philips 66 Nationals?

Reply to  Merry Madams

Merry Madams – the idea was to de-fragment the whole crop of junior swimmers who get split off into Futures, Junior Nationals, NCSA Junior Nationals and YMCA Nationals over a span of a few weeks. US Open is mainly included because it was during the same time frame and a number of top junior swimmers competed there instead of any of those junior meets. US Nationals were well over a month ago, so we only included the major meets that took place at roughly the same time.

None of Brinegar’s US Open times (1:57 in 200 free, 8:14 in 800 free, 15:46 in 1500 free) make this list. Though many of his in-season times are much faster, this story is only about the top times from the major meets of the last few weeks.
