Stanford’s Torri Huske, a sophomore, shares what it was like competing in some of the most competitive heats in NCAA history. Huske had multiple time drops and was also under Douglass’s previous NCAA record in the 200 IM.
She had a great meet – was super impressed with how she stood up and made everyone earn their wins over her. Big fan.
Stay fierece Torri. That’s how Simone Manuel describes you and she’s right. Claire is fierce too. Taylor repeating, all great.
She showed her prowess in the long pool. She will do just fine.
Torri is always a class act.
It obviously meant a lot to her to out touch Walsh by .01 instead of the other way around. They knew very early Douglass was gone.
Great interview. More emotional intelligence that any critics she has. The breaststroke looked great and she will be formidable both at Stanford and for the USA
It’s so funny because if MacNeil or Douglass didn’t exist, we would be going nuts with a 48.9 100 fly

If just Douglass didn’t exist, we’d be going even more nuts over her 1:50.06
I personally feel that Torri Huske is better at LCM than SCY especially in the 100 FL and 100 FR.
Don’t you mean the W 100 FL and the W 100 FR?
I believe he means that Victoria “Torri” Huske is better in the Women’s 100 Metre Butterfly and Women’s 100 Metre Freestyle events recognised by World Aquatics “WA” (formerly known as Federation Internationale de Natatation “FINA”).
Perhaps she will challenge Hannah Margaret McNair “Maggie” MacNeil in the Women’s 100 Metre Butterfly event at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan?
