Former Tennessee men’s coach John Trembley, who was released from his contract earlier this week for “gross misconduct,” has retained the services of attorney Donald A. Bosch, according to a statement released by the Bosch Law Firm, P.C. Bosch will represent trembley in the resulting criminal investigation being undertaken by the Knoxville Police Department.
The statement was largely inocuous, and simply stated that coach Trembley had retained counsel, and would not be able to make any other statements on the matter at this time.
Bosch is a relatively high-profile Knoxville attorney, and recently made local headlines in an unrelated, but controversial, case as the defense lawyer for a judge who had a scandal-ridden fall from grace.
The statement read, in part:
“Coach Trembley looks forward to addressing the results from this investigation at the appropriate time. Until then, it is inappropriate for Coach Trembley or his counsel to make any further statements.”
